- Take over full responsibility for the quality of development projects
- Collaborate closely with the product and design team to translate requirements into technical designs
- Develop, test and deploy code that is part of a product used by millions of people every month
- Maintain a high quality standard for the end user experience from mobile to desktop
- Quickly debug and analyze issues that affect the usability and performance of our website platforms
- Deliver incremental results live on our site on a weekly basis with the support of an agile team
- In collaboration with the CTO, set the vision for the technology and architecture to stay current
Job Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related subject
- 3-5 years of experience delivering tools on tight schedules in a company known for best-in-class products
- Proven experience working in a multi-national environment with agile methodologies
- Positive, go-to attitude, and the ability to quickly learn new technologies
- Strong drive to find, analyze and solve complex software problems
- Fundamental knowledge of web technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript 6, AJAX and PHP
- Always up to date with the latest developments in web standards and trends
- Expert in client-side technologies like jQuery, jQuery UI, Bootstrap and Responsive Design
- Curiosity for the evolution of cloud database technologies like Elastic Search
- Deep Understanding of MVC design patterns and web service APIs
- Practical QA experience using PHPUnit and other testing
- Understanding of Source Control tools and related practices like Git
- Familiarity with command line interfaces, Amazon Web Service and Docker
