[1278] Senior Robotics Simulation Engineer

Job Details

• Being part of the VN Software Development department, an US robotics warehouse automation company based in Wilmington, Massachusetts.
• Drive the development of simulation systems and tools responsible for supporting the design, development, qualification, and deployment of large scale integrated robotic systems for our warehouse automation system
• Develop faster than real-time and optimized simulation environments for driving key design decisions for new systems and products
• Take responsibility for all aspects of the simulation tools used throughout the organization including individual robots, perception, controls, fleet-level operations, routing, and system-wide simulations
• And perform similar duties as he deems fit for the proper execution of his duties and duties as delegated by the direct manager or the Employer.

Job Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in building and simulating robots, including the development of sophisticated simulation environments and optimization solutions.
• Hand on experience with developing 3D simulations, 3D Game (Unreal, Unity3D…), digital-twins, and faster than real-time virtual environments for real-world applications.
• Able to apply advanced mathematical concepts.
• Strong teamwork, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent working proficiency and clear communication skills in both spoken and written English.

Preferred:

• Solid foundation in programming (e.g., Python), firmware development, and/or system-level design. Knowledge of control theory, localization, path planning and navigation, and computer vision is a significant plus.
• Experience with Machine Learning (ML) and cloud computing models and tools for training within simulation environments.
• Familiarity with industry-standard rendering engines such as Nvidia Omniverse, Unity, Blender, or similar.
