Job Details
We are seeking an experienced applications architect who can work across various areas of architecture including Enterprise (big picture), Solutions, Technical, Integration and basic Database architecture.
The projects worked on will be largely with a major Singapore client who is a dynamic young health technology company with offices in Sydney and currently expanding into India, UK and US. The work will be focused on mobile (cross platform, moving to react native) and web systems for administration and analytics. Ideally you will have experience with complex web and mobile apps and be willing to occasionally travel to Singapore if required.
In this role, you will be required to:
- Manage all aspects of technical, solutions, and integration architecture of web and mobile applications
- Provide technical mentoring and assistance to other team members and direct reports
- Manage technical staff as required for the full life cycle of technology solutions
- Research & Development: Find, evaluate and recommend the best software development & implementation, database, hosting and other associated tools for the projects being worked on
- Provide subject matter leadership in software architecture and processes surrounding software development
- Work with the Operations Manager and Product Manager to undertake proactive reviews of systems, processes and procedures utilised and recommend improvements
Job Requirements
To be suitable for this role you must have 6+ years of software development experience, with a minimum of 1 year of applications architecture on large projects.
We are looking to speak with people who have the following skills:
- Demonstrable experience across various forms of software architecture (we would like to see examples of working solutions and designs done by you)
- Exposure to 3 or more of the following techs & tools:
- o Node
- o Express
- o MongoDB (another NoSQL is acceptable)
- o Angular 2 or >
- o React
- o Redux
- o Meteor/Loopback/Sails
- o Socket.io
- o SOA / Microservices / Rest API’s
- o Ionic Framework / mobile applications (native and/or cross platform)
- o Docker, AWS, Parse
- o TDD, Mocha, Chai
- Previous experience working with off-shore clients (outsourcing environment)
- Experience working in a SCRUM Agile environment, familiar with Jira and Confluence (Nice to have, but not essential)
- Strong skills in personnel management with strong organisational and communication skills
- Comprehension of high volume systems and websites at an enterprise level
